Sessions and Costs

Opening Hours

Monday,Tuesday,Thursday open 8.00am to 5.00pm.

On Wednesday and Friday we close a little earlier at 4.00pm

During these hours families have the opportunity to access:
Breakfast Club 8am - 9am
Full Day 9am - 4pm
Chill-Out Time 4pm - 5pm


Families can choose to access the Breakfast and Chill-Out Time in addition to their child’s full day.

Payment and Non-Refundable Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £30.00 for administration is payable at the time of booking / joining our waiting list . Subject to terms and conditions.

Fees are due on the first day attended by your child at the beginning of term. Cheques should be made payable to Bus Stop Child Care. Fees can be paid in two instalments at the beginning of the first half term and at the beginning of the second half term. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refunds if your child is away due to illness or away on holiday during the term.

 

We are registered to accept a number of Childcare voucher schemes.

  • Daily Rate for a full Day 9-4pm £56 (This includes all meals,snacks,drinks,nappies,wipes and and additional activities)
  • Breakfast Club and Chill-Out Time : £8/hour
  • Where spaces are available for a one off breakfast club/Chill-Out Time, additional charge of £1.00 will be added to the fees.

    Early Years Free Entitlement and FEET funding

    We are registered on the Surrey Directory of Providers and are therefore able to claim the Early Years Free Entitlement and FEET funding on your behalf.

    The Early Years Free Entitlement entitles all three and four year olds to access 15 educational hours for 38 weeks of the year. The FEET funding Entitlement entitles some 2 year olds to 15 educational hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. Funded children can access up to 7 funded hours /day (excluding Breakfast Club and Chillout).We make an additional charge for services.

    Families can also access 30 hours funding. This available to eligible families...or speak to Kate or Kelly.

    Pre-school Routine

    This routine should be viewed as a guide, as we promote a flexible routine for both morning and afternoon sessions, where children follow their interests.

    8.00am to 9.00am - Breakfast Club.
    12.00pm to 1.00pm - Lunch Time.
    4.00pm to 5.00pm – Chill - Out Time.

    9.00 - Children arrive for ‘Pre-School’. The children are brought together on the ‘Bug Rug’ for the ‘Good Morning’ circle time. The children welcome the teachers and their friends. Children are encouraged to count ‘how many children’ are at pre-school today in English, French and German.

    After the circle time the children are free to choose from the wide range of activities within the inside and outside classroom. The children free-flow between the inside and outside classroom whatever the weather. We have water proof clothing and welly boots so that children can enjoy the rain, mud and puddles.

    Activities provided support the pre-school theme for the term.

    9:45 / 1.45 - Children are invited to join the adults for our feelings game and ‘show and tell‘.

    10:00 / 2.00 - At this time an adult invites the children to join them for a group story. This can be accessed on a come and go bases. The children are still able to freely explore the inside and outside environments.

    10.30 / 2.30 - Snack bar is open. The children take turns to come and have fruit / vegetables and a drink of water or milk. Water is available for children to help themselves throughout the session.

    11.30 / 3.30 - Time to tidy up the classroom.

    11.45 - The children choose songs, poems and rhymes before going home.

    12.00 to 1.00 – Lunch Time. After children have eaten their lunch they are invited to do Quiet reading on the Bug Rug. At 1pm children are brought together on the Bug Rug to say ‘Good Afternoon’.

    3.45 - The children choose songs, poems and rhymes before going home.

    4.00 / 5.00 - Home time.

    Forest School Sessions

    This routine should be viewed as a guide, as we promote flexible sessions and full days in the woods where children follow their interests.

    Children enjoy whole days in the woods with lunch is cooked on the campfire.

    9.00am – Children arrive. Adults support children to put on appropriate clothing for the session and weather. Children and adults wear florescent jackets.

    9.45am – Children are brought together around the Fire Square and pack the equipment and tools with the adults for the day.

    10am – Children line up in a walking bus line and walk to the Visitors centre.

    10.15am – Once in the grounds of Polesden Lacey the children are gathered together in a ‘Safety Circle’ to remember Forest School rules.

    10.25am – Children and adults freely explore the woodlands. An adult led activity may take place depending on pre-school theme or children’s interests.

    11am – The ‘Kelly Kettles’ are lit and hot chocolate is ready for snack time. After snack time the children freely explore the woodlands and return to their games.

    12pm - Hot Lunch is cooked on the Rocket Stove/Campfire.Children gathered together for lunch.

    12.30pm – Children and adults freely explore the woodlands. An adult led activity may take place depending on pre-school theme or children’s interests.

    3.00pm – Children are gathered together in a ‘counting circle’ and then walk back to pre-school. Whole group reviews the map of Polesden Lacey Estate and woodlands to recall their day.

    4pm – Arrive back at pre-school in time for home time.

    5pm - Home time for Chill Out hour children
